The Languages page lets you choose which interface languages are available to your company's users in the Workbench.

When you'd use this

Enable additional languages so your team can use the Workbench in their preferred language. For example: your team includes French and German speakers — turn those languages on and each user can switch to their preferred language from their account settings.

Steps

  1. In the Workbench sidebar, click Settings.

  2. Under Workspace, click Languages.

  3. The page shows all supported languages as toggle buttons.

  4. Click a language button to enable or disable it. Active languages are highlighted.

  5. Click Save changes.

Tips and limits

  • English is always enabled and cannot be turned off — it is the fallback language for the entire Workbench.

  • Enabling a language makes it available in the language switcher for everyone in your company. Each user picks their own preferred language from their account.

  • Disabling a language does not change the language setting for users who already have it selected — they will fall back to English at their next session.

  • This setting controls the Workbench interface, not the chat. Agents tend to reply in the language you write to them in, unless you tell them otherwise — so a conversation can run in a different language than the surrounding app. To steer it, just ask the agent to answer in the language you want.
